Doing so will create your online public profile, give you a unique identity on the website, and provide access to the member's area where you'll be able to request promotional materials, complete tasks and missions, submit feedback, and communicate with other members of the Streetcult community within our forums.

As soon as you complete your registration, you may begin joining teams. Simply go to the Teams area and begin browsing through the teams which are currently open. When you find a team you want to help promote, simply click the 'Join Team' button. You'll now be able perform tasks, missions or directives, request promotional materials & schedule events, submit feedback reports & upload pictures, earn reputation for your feedback, communicate with team leaders, suggest your own ideas to team leaders for promotions, and network with other members of teams you join. You'll never have to promote teams that you're not interested in, and only join the teams you think are cool. You can quit teams as well if you change your mind later too.

Everyone knows that word-of-mouth promotion and street marketing are some of the most effective methods of promotion for any band, movie, or product... and it's fun to meet new people, turn them opn to these teams, and be involved with helping spread the word! By distributing physical items at concerts and events such as a compilation CDs, stickers, or postcards and knowing that you're the reason they found out about them is extremely rewarding. Approaching people and talking about your teams helps create additional awareness, establishes street credibility, and starts an underground 'buzz' about the band's music, which in turn leads to greater overall success for everyone involved. In addition, when people find out about something from one of their friends, or individual who approached them, they are much more receptive to your marketing efforts than from impersonal corporate means such as an advertisement in a magazine, website, or radio commercial.

One of the coolest things about Streetcult is that as you continue to promote more and more, your team leader will get to know and appreciate you for all the promotion you're doing. Most team leaders have cool swag which they may give to members as a little way of saying "thanks for your help" to you. This could be anything from an autographed CD or tee shirt, to free concert tickets or even an autographed guitar! It's really only up to the team leader for the teams you join, what they have available, and how much they feel you have done to promote their team.
